(July 16, 2008) The Vermont Department of Labor reports that there were 712 new regular benefit claims for Unemployment Insurance last week, a decrease of 60 from the week before. Altogether 7,139 new and continuing claims were filed, 190 more than a week ago and 999 more than a year earlier.
