The Mount Family Group Ltd, a Burlington icon since 1982, has transitioned
to its second generation of ownership. James Mount of Colchester and Karen
Mount of Williston have purchased the stock in the company from David and
Frances Mount who have owned the company since 1982. David Mount will
remain with the company as CEO until December and thereafter will serve as
FairPoint submitted supplemental financial information to the Public Service Board last week for its consideration in FairPoint’s still-pending Regulatory Settlement and Change of Control proceeding, the approval of which will allow the company to emerge from Chapter 11.

US Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) on Friday toured the State Department’s new Vermont Passport Agency office under construction in St. Albans, as Vermont prepares to join the ranks of fewer than two dozen states with such passport offices.
