Vermont Business Magazine Michael S Pieciak, commissioner of the Department of Financial Regulation, announced today that MVP Health Insurance Co has paid the state of Vermont an administrative penalty of $70,500 and reimbursed 470 Vermonters a total of $158,915 plus interest.

Vermont Business Magazine Holden Insurance announced today that the firm has been acquired by The Richards Group of Brattleboro. The deal was effective January 1, 2017. The entire Holden staff will remain at their current locations in Rutland and Middlebury and will continue to operate under the name Holden Insurance.

Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Medical Center’s (SVMC) radiologic therapists have completed advanced training in VisionRT, one of the technologies available on the linear accelerator (linac). SVMC became one of the first hospitals in the region to be equipped with this linac technology when they acquired the machine in 2016.
