Vermont Business Magazine The Manchester Business Association (MBA) recently announced that Executive Director John Burnham will be transitioning to a new role at the Equinox Golf Resort & Spa. The MBA Board of Directors extends its deep gratitude to John for his dedicated service and leadership, and wishes him every success in this exciting next chapter.
To ensure continuity of the MBA’s programs, partnerships, and community initiatives, the Board has appointed two of its own members to serve as Co-Executive Directors while a formal search for a qualified Executive Director candidate is underway.
Adam Koffman, of Vermont.com, and Kait Zwagerman Tyler, Marketing Consultant, will step into the Co-Executive Director roles effective May 26, 2026. Both bring deep roots in the Vermont business community and a longstanding commitment to the Manchester region and are well-positioned to guide the organization through this transition. Both Adam and Kait will step off of the board during this interim period to fully dedicate their focus to the role.
Adam Koffman grew up in the Manchester area and attended the University of Vermont before going on to own and operate a Burlington-based marketing agency. He eventually returned to his roots to raise his family and now runs Vermont.com, a leading resource for Vermont tourism.
Kait Zwagerman Tyler moved to the Manchester area in 2011 and has been involved with the MBA since 2018. She previously served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for a Vermont-based media company. Today, she runs her own consulting practice, partnering with Vermont businesses, including several right here in Manchester.
The MBA is also pleased to highlight the continued work of Events Manager Valeria Ryan, whose efforts have been central to the organization’s event programming, including organizing the highly successful Manchester Food & Wine Festival over Memorial Day Weekend.
Adam and Kait look forward to working closely with Valeria to keep the momentum going around events development and continue creating experiences that bring the Manchester business community together.
“We are committed to keeping the momentum going for our members and the broader Manchester business community,” said Koffman. “Kait and I look forward to working closely with the board and our partners to ensure a smooth transition and a strong future for the MBA.”
“Manchester has such a strong, tight-knit business community, and I’m honored to help support it during this transition,” said Zwagerman Tyler. “We have great things in the works, and I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves alongside Adam, Val, and the board to keep that momentum going.”
The MBA Board of Directors will be conducting a thorough search for a permanent Executive Director and encourages qualified candidates to apply. Details regarding the position are available on Indeed.com.
“The board is grateful for Adam and Kait’s leadership and their willingness to step up and keep the MBA moving forward during this transition,” said Brad Killian, Chair of the MBA Board of Directors. “John has left an incredible impact on the Manchester business community, and we look forward to collaborating with him in the future in his new role at the Equinox. We are committed to finding an exceptional candidate to carry this organization forward, and we couldn’t be more confident in Adam and Kait to hold the torch in the meantime.”
