9th Annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Returns May 17
Vermont Business Magazine Riders across Vermont are preparing for the 9th annual local edition of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, set to take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Hosted locally by Classic Bike Experience (CBE) in partnership with CycleWise Inc., the event is part of a worldwide movement uniting more than 1,100 cities in support of men’s health.
Now celebrating its 15th year globally, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride began in 2012 with a simple idea: dress sharp, ride classic motorcycles, and make a difference. Since then, it has grown into the world’s largest coordinated motorcycle charity event, raising over $60 million for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs.
In Vermont, momentum is building. 44 riders are already registered, and participants have raised nearly $3,000 ahead of this year’s ride, with additional fundraising expected in the weeks leading up to the event.
Despite its name, the ride is open to all. Women and men riders are equally welcome, united by a shared commitment to style, community, and cause.
“This is more than a motorcycle ride,” says CBE owner Jack Manning. “It’s a way to bring people together, start conversations around men’s health, and show a different side of motorcycling, one that’s thoughtful, connected, and purposeful.”
On ride day, participants will take to Vermont roads in dapper attire, riding classic and vintage-style motorcycles as part of a globally synchronized event spanning cities from Sydney to London to Los Angeles.
Registered riders meet at 10:00 AM at CBE in Essex Junction for check in and open house activities including a chef at the grill cooking breakfast sammies, serving coffee, and a team photographer providing individual rider photographs. Departure at noon, takes riders on a 36-mile ride to CycleWise, the local Triumph dealership in New Haven for a reception with food, prizes, and music until 4 PM.
The event supports Movember, the leading charity focused on men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate cancer research. Funds raised help deliver critical programs and encourage men to seek help and stay connected.
Local organizers encourage riders and supporters to get involved, register, donate, or simply come out to witness one of the most distinctive motorcycle events of the year.
