Fastest Fiber Broadband Speed At Their Lowest Price
Vermont Business Magazine Maple Broadband has announced Nonprofit Connect, a new program offering all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Maple Broadband’s service area in Addison County access to Gigabit fiber internet at the provider's most accessible price point.
Through Nonprofit Connect, qualifying nonprofits receive Maple Broadband's Amber Bold fiber internet package at the Amber Light rate of $69.95 per month, a savings of $50.00 per month. The program includes all standard Maple Broadband benefits: no contracts, no data caps, no promotional pricing that increases later, and free equipment. Through the end of September, Maple Broadband is also waiving its standard installation fee of $149.95 for all new customers, including nonprofits.
"Nonprofits work hard to stretch every dollar for this community," said Maple Broadband Executive Director Ellie de Villiers. "This is our way of supporting that. As a community-owned provider, there is strong mission alignment between the work we are doing to provide and promote universal affordable broadband internet and the work of nonprofits that are also serving Addison County."
There are over 700 registered nonprofits in Addison County, ranging from food shelves and housing organizations to youth programs and environmental groups. Many operate on tight budgets where reliable, fast internet is not a luxury but an operational necessity for grant applications, telehealth coordination, donor communications, and virtual programming.
Maple Broadband is also using the program to help get information about its residential affordability programs into more hands. Enrolled nonprofits will receive materials about the Local Equitable Access Fund (LEAF), which provides a $30 monthly discount and free installation to eligible households, and the Affordable Drop Program (ADP), which covers additional installation costs for hard-to-reach properties. Many of the residents these nonprofits serve may qualify for these programs.
