Vermont Business Magazine The White River Craft Center (WRCC) invites the community to celebrate 25 years of creativity, learning, and connection at a daylong anniversary event on Saturday, June 13.

What began as a place to uplift young people through hands-on making in trade and craft continues as a vibrant community hub where creatives, learners, and neighbors come together. This milestone celebration honors that history while looking ahead to the next chapter of the Craft Center.

The day will feature an open house with studio tours, artist demonstrations, hands-on activities, and opportunities to connect with the artists and people who shape the Craft Center today. Visitors can explore working studios—including woodworking, weaving, photography, and more—and experience the energy of a space rooted in making and shared creativity.

A community picnic lunch, a collaborative art project, and family-friendly activities will be offered throughout the day, inviting people of all ages to gather, connect, and spend time together. The 25-year exhibition will be installed throughout the Craft Center’s spaces, offering a dynamic and engaging way to experience its history and present-day work. Activities will take place across the full campus, including the Kimball House on Randolph Avenue and the Woodshop on Weston Street, creating a lively, walkable celebration.

In the evening, the celebration continues with a ticketed fundraiser featuring live music and light fare, along with a special acknowledgment of founding director Kevin Harty for his decades of leadership and lasting impact on the organization and the community. The evening will take place on the front lawn of the Kimball House, as the sun sets along Randolph Avenue, bringing the community together to celebrate and support the future of the Craft Center through its Community Fund.

“This celebration is really about the people who have made the Craft Center what it is,” said Executive Director Jess Wilkinson. “It’s a moment to gather, share stories, and recognize the role creativity plays in bringing a community together—while also helping shape what comes next.”

As part of the anniversary, WRCC invites community members, artists, and past participants to share memories, reflections, and ideas for the future. Opportunities to contribute artwork for the 25-year exhibition and a Fall 2026 silent auction—supporting the Craft Center’s Community Fund—are also available.

You are invited to join the celebration—attend, share your story, contribute artwork, or support the next chapter of the Craft Center.

The daytime open house is free and open to all. Tickets for the evening fundraiser are now available.
