Ownership transition positions Do North for expanded regional programming and partnerships
Vermont Business Magazine Do North Coworking, a collaborative workspace and hub for entrepreneur-focused programs and events in Lyndonville, is transitioning ownership from Vermont State University (VTSU) to the Northeastern Vermont Development Association (NVDA), effective March 2026.
Community members and coworkers can expect a seamless transition in addition to added benefits stemming from NVDA’s regional development role. Under NVDA’s management, Do North Coworking will continue to operate as a coworking and entrepreneurship hub while expanding programming, partnerships, and access across the region. NVDA’s broader focus positions Do North to grow as a hub for business support, startup development, and collaborative initiatives that serve remote workers and emerging entrepreneurs throughout northeast Vermont.
“Vermont State University helped launch Do North Coworking as a catalyst for innovation and community connection, and we are proud of what it has become,” said Dave Bergh, president of Vermont State University. “We are confident in the decision to transfer ownership to NVDA, a trusted community partner with the capacity and regional focus to lead it into its next phase, and we look forward to supporting Do North in new ways through continued connections with our students and faculty.”
“We are grateful to Vermont State University for its vision and leadership in launching Do North Coworking and supporting it over the years,” said David Snedeker, Executive Director of NVDA. “The physical space and programs have already demonstrated value to the region, and under NVDA’s leadership, we see strong opportunity to build on that foundation by expanding programs and partnerships that support entrepreneurship throughout the region.”
Do North Coworking was originally established as an economic development initiative through the leadership and investment of VTSU and its partners. Since opening, the space has served as a gathering place for scores of small businesses, startups, students, educators, and professionals, contributing to the vitality of the Northeast Kingdom through hands‑on learning and entrepreneurial support.
NVDA will assume responsibility for day‑to‑day operations, programming, and strategic development of the space, while honoring the foundational work of VTSU and the many individuals and partners who helped bring Do North Coworking to life.
