Vermont Business Magazine The Attorney General’s Office today announced that Anthony Jackson-Miller, 39, of Stanstead, Quebec, Canada, was arraigned on one felony count of sexual exploitation of a victim of an open investigation by a law enforcement officer and one misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice. The charges against Mr. Jackson-Miller, who worked as a victim’s advocate for the Caledonia County State’s Attorney’s Office, are the result of an investigation conducted by the Vermont State Police.
Mr. Jackson-Miller pleaded not guilty at the arraignment today in Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division. The Court, Judge Heather Gray presiding, issued pre-trial conditions of release that require Mr. Jackson-Miller not to have contact with the victim and witnesses, or be employed in a role providing services to vulnerable people.
The Attorney General’s Office emphasizes that individuals charged with a crime are legally presumed innocent until their guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
