Community Health Centers Recent legislation authorized an extension of many of the Medicare telehealth flexibilities that were in place during the COVID-19 public health emergency. These extended flexibilities ended on January 30, 2026.
This means that individuals with Medicare no longer have insurance coverage for medical visits that occur outside of the office by phone or video. Psychiatry and behavioral health visits remain eligible for telehealth services.
We have already started reaching out to anyone with Medicare insurance who has a telehealth visit scheduled to change that to an office visit. At this time, we will not generally offer telehealth visits for those with Medicare coverage unless the federal government changes their rules surrounding telehealth coverage or you select to pay out of pocket for this service.
If an office visit is not possible for you, please reach out to your primary care provider’s office to discuss options and possible support for overcoming barriers to coming in.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope that telehealth is an option again when clinically appropriate in the near future.
