Vermont Business Magazine The Federal Nuclear Waste Policy (FNWP) Committee of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (VT NDCAP) will meet on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM. As permitted by ACT 133 of the 2024 Vermont Legislature, this meeting will be conducted solely as a webcast and teleconference. At this meeting, the Committee will continue discussions from its February 2, 2026, meeting regarding announced changes in NRC and DOE spent nuclear fuel policies resulting from the several 2025 Trump Administration Executive Orders affecting federal nuclear power-related policies. Meeting discussions will likely extend to the Nuclear Lifecycle Innovation Campuses program announced by the DOE in late January.
The April 20, 2026, FNWP Committee meeting is scheduled to run from 12 Noon to 1 PM. Opportunities for public questions and comments will be available. Written questions and comments for the Committee members or the meeting speakers are encouraged and may be submitted to VT NDCAP’s email address at [email protected].
