The Left Bank at The Weston Among the World’s Best Restaurants for Wine

Vermont Business Magazine For the second year in a row, The Left Bank at The Weston, an intimate luxury hotel in a country-style home, has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine.

“A wine list is a restaurant’s identity in print, and this year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners reflect both deep knowledge and a passion for discovery,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “I proudly present the 3,811 restaurants worldwide that earned a Restaurant Award this year—we raise a glass to all our winners.”

“The Left Bank team is incredibly proud to once again receive the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator,” said Matt Reina, Food & Beverage Director, The Left Bank. “This recognition reflects our passion for wine and our commitment to sharing that passion with our guests at every meal. We’re constantly evolving our wine program and deepening our knowledge to ensure each evening offers an inspiring, perfectly paired dining experience.”

Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award, with 2,010; 1,704; and 97 winners this year in each respective category.

The Left Bank has won the Award of Excellence, which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. The Left Bank serves French country cuisine inspired by the world’s top bistros. Led by Executive Chef Bretton Combs, the restaurant offers refined dishes, an extensive wine list, and innovative cocktails. Seasonal menus are driven by produce sourced daily from The Farm, the property’s regenerative farm located nearby. The wine program emphasizes craftsmanship and features rare, limited-edition bottles from distinctive vineyards around the world, providing guests with access to selections not typically available elsewhere.
