Champlain students to “earn and learn” with global software leader
Vermont Business Magazine Champlain College has announced its first co-op partner, Creatio, a global vendor of an agentic CRM and workflow platform with no-code and artificial intelligence at its core. Champlain students will be able to engage in paid, full-time work with the Boston-based company, while earning full academic credit.
Co-ops, or cooperative education, let students earn and learn, giving them valuable professional experience before graduation. At Champlain College, students with at least one paid work experience earn an average of $10,000-$15,000 more in salary after graduation. Champlain’s innovative co-op model allows students to do one or two co-ops and still graduate in four years.
“Champlain College is a leader in experiential learning,” says Creatio founder and CEO Katherine Kostereva. “We are proud to be their inaugural co-op partner.”
At Creatio, students will develop skills in high-demand areas like marketing, sales, and software, learning how humans and AI agents can work together to achieve organizational success.
“We are excited to launch co-ops at Champlain College with an innovator like Creatio, that helps organizations transform using artificial intelligence,” said Champlain College president Alex Hernandez. “Our students will gain invaluable experience so they can hit the ground running in a fast-changing world.”
The partnership fuels Champlain’s new “Experience Included” model where every student will graduate with career-focused experiences. Over the last three years, about 90% of Champlain graduates have a successful career outcome within six months of graduation and over 80% are employed in a job related to their field of study.
This collaboration complements Champlain’s new academic model, launching with the incoming class of Fall 2026, which integrates 30 flexible credits into every degree. Together, these initiatives provide students with more choice to pursue co-ops, internships, global study while staying on track to graduate.
