PACIF Contacts: Last Call for Your 2024 Workers' Comp Audit!

If you didn't respond yet, be sure to use the updated values collection link – sent in the 4/25 email from [email protected] – before 5/23. Members who don’t submit their audited payroll information by the deadline are subject to an automatic 10% increase on their Workers' Compensation audited contribution.

Having Trouble Getting Technical Assistance for Projects?

Funding is in place to help rural municipalities get technical assistance (TA) for community and economic development. If you are having trouble accessing this TA, please respond to this Vermont state survey to help form an integrated approach for delivering TA effectively.

Compensation and Benefits Survey Is Now Open!

The link to this year’s Vermont Municipal Compensation & Benefits survey was emailed today to one person at each city, town, and village government. Your participation shares municipally specific data among VLCT members to help with budgeting as well as hiring and maintaining employees. 

If Mudslides or Debris Flows are Affecting Your Town Roads

Share your town road information with UVM and VTrans to help map risk areas and improve hazard planning in Vermont. 

VT DOL is Modernizing Its Unemployment Insurance Software

Significant upgrades to the state’s unemployment insurance system are planned to create an easy, efficient online service for all users by spring/summer 2026. VT DOL will share FAQs and demonstrate the new system at virtual town halls.

Effective Facilitation Training from DPS VEM

This 2.5-day course, offered 5/28-5/30 in Waterbury and 6/10-6/12 in Newfane, will provide instruction and practice on facilitation techniques and meeting design, with a specific focus on facilitating Emergency Management meetings, trainings, and emergency exercises in both a physical and virtual environment. Local government officials and staff have signup priority until two weeks before the event.

Training in Animal Cruelty Investigation Considerations for Animal Control Officers

This daylong training for law enforcement, animal control, and code enforcement officers, as well as prosecutors and veterinarians will have Trevor Whipple, VLCT's own Law Enforcement Consultant, as a trainer. Sat 6/21 in South Royalton.

2025 Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference

Registration is now open for the Vermont Emergency Management annual conference, being held this year 9/4-9/5 at the Killington Resort.
