Associated General Contractors of Vermont sets benchmark for workforce training

Over 2,500 Vermonters trained in safety, skills, and leadership in record-breaking year

Vermont Business Magazine The Associated General Contractors of Vermont (AGC/VT), the state’s leading construction industry association, has proudly announced its third consecutive record-breaking year for workforce training and development. In the first half of 2025 alone, AGC/VT delivered safety, skills, and leadership training to more than 2,500 Vermonters—an increase of 18% over the previous year.

This unprecedented achievement solidifies AGC/VT as Vermont’s premier provider of construction workforce education, with more than 100 in-person and online training courses ranging from OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications to Blueprint Reading, Flagger Training, Lean Construction Education, Advanced Safety Management, Mental Health Awareness, and cutting-edge programs in emerging construction technologies.

AGC/VT’s comprehensive programs have also contributed to measurable improvements in jobsite safety and regulatory compliance statewide.

Key Highlights from 2025:

·       Over 2,500 participants engaged in AGC/VT training programs—a significant year-over-year increase.

·       Documented reductions in workplace incidents , with strong OSHA and MSHA compliance, demonstrating the impact of quality safety education.

·       Launched more than 100 new training modules through a partnership with AGC of America’s EDGE platform, focusing on sustainable construction, advanced project management tools, and emerging technologies.
