Public Meeting: Plymouth bridge projects on VT 100 and VT 100A

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) invites you to attend a public meeting about upcoming bridge projects in Plymouth on Vermont Route 100 and Vermont Route 100A. The Agency will deliver a public presentation at the Town of Plymouth Select Board meeting to provide information on the short- and long-term construction schedule and traffic impacts.

WHEN: Monday, May 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Municipal Building Meeting Room, Plymouth Town Hall, 68 Town Office Road, Plymouth

This information session can be attended either in-person or virtually via Zoom. Information to join the meeting virtually via Zoom can be found on the Town of Plymouth website.

PROJECT DETAILS:

AOT will replace or reconstruct four bridges that were damaged by rain and flooding in 2023 on VT 100A and VT 100 in Plymouth and Bridgewater. This work will occur during the next three construction seasons. 

On VT 100A, one bridge will be replaced and will require closure and a detour to VT 100 during construction:

  • Plymouth P23-1(317): In the Town of Plymouth, on VT 100A, Bridge No. 9 over Pinney Hollow Brook, approximately 2.95 miles southwest of the intersection with U.S. Route 4 and 3.7 miles north of VT 100 (2025 construction)

On VT 100, three bridges will be repaired or replaced. These bridges will require some closures and detours to VT 100A during construction:

  • Plymouth ER P23-1(332): In the Town of Plymouth, on VT 100, Bridge No. 112 over the Tinker Brook, approximately 1.4 miles north of the intersection with VT 100A (2026 construction)
  • Bridgewater ER P23-1(302): In the Town of Bridgewater, on VT 100, Bridge No. 116 over the Madden Brook, approximately 4.0 miles north of the intersection with VT 100A (2026 construction)
  • Plymouth ER P23-1(333): In the Town of Plymouth, on VT 100, Bridge No. 108 over the Money Brook, approximately 1.0 mile south of the intersection with VT 100A (2027 construction)
