Vermont Business Magazine Get ready to put on your dancing shoes and join us for the First Annual World Down Syndrome Day Sock Hop, an exciting and inclusive event celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and raising awareness about the community. The event will take place at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington on March 21, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM.
This year’s Sock Hop promises a fun-filled evening with music, dancing, and plenty of entertainment. Local DJ Jim Provost will be spinning tunes all night long, ensuring everyone hits the dance floor with their best moves. Guests can also enjoy a delicious array of food catered by the Delta Hotel, as well as a fun and interactive photo booth to capture all the memories of the night.
The event is made possible through the Champlain Valley Down Syndrome Group Board, who worked collaboratively to create a fun filled night! We want to extend our sincere gratitude for the generous donation of Top Hat Entertainment, who have contributed the lighting to make the Sock Hop a truly spectacular event. Their support ensures a dynamic, vibrant atmosphere that will set the perfect tone for this incredible celebration.
This event will be one of many supporting local initiatives that promote awareness, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.
