Vermont Business Magazine Over 100 nonprofit recipients of Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ Sunshine Fund donations are invited to the brewery’s inaugural SIPosium, a convening of local community-based organizations from across Vermont to be held Wednesday, June 25, at Lawson’s Finest destination taproom in Waitsfield, Vt.

The SIPosium will be an afternoon of building community, storytelling and celebration. This event will bring together organizations of all sizes and causes from localities across Vermont, to discuss a wide range of topics, from rural economy and food insecurity to community relationships. Organizations will learn from each other, share key insights and make connections with the goal of fostering collaboration.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids is hosting the celebration in partnership with the Vermont Community Foundation. VCF’s VP for Grants and Community Impact Holly Morehouse will be a guest speaker at the event.

“Our Sunshine Fund is going beyond focusing only on donations. It’s an opportunity to engage and encourage our fans to learn about and support impactful organizations who are working to make our community a brighter place,” said Lawson's Finest Liquids Social Impact Program (SIP) Manager Carra Cheslin. “We look forward to gathering, collaborating, and celebrating all of the incredible work that’s being done every day by an amazing group of nonprofits from every corner of our state.”

Part of the brewery’s Social Impact Program (lovingly referred to as The SIP), the Sunshine Fund harnesses the generosity of the community to give back to local causes that support people and the environment. In lieu of tipping at Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ destination taproom, guests can enjoy Lawson’s Finest Liquids brews and make donations to the taproom’s featured “on tap” nonprofit organization, which rotates every two weeks and is selected by a committee of Lawson’s Finest Liquids employees. Taproom team members receive living wages and generous benefits, so tips are not required to supplement their income. Through the Sunshine Fund, the brewery presented $289,029 to 25 nonprofits in 2024, and the program continues to make an impact in 2025.
