June 8 to June 14, 2025, is Military 250 Celebration of American Service in Vermont.
Vermont Business Magazine We the Veterans and Military Families announced today that Governor Phil Scott has joined leaders across the nation in recognizing Military 250, a year-long national initiative celebrating the founding anniversaries of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. This movement seeks to elevate the voices of veterans and military families, promote civic participation, and foster a renewed commitment to service and community.
As part of a statewide celebration, Governor Scott has reaffirmed Vermont’s steadfast dedication to active-duty service members, veterans, and military families through a proclamation that highlights its deep-rooted commitment to supporting service members and their families and will be celebrated from June 8 to June 14, 2025.
“We the Vets is proud to partner with Governor Scott to celebrate Military 250 and use this historic moment to mobilize a movement of civic engagement and patriotism,” said Ben Keiser, co-founder of We the Veterans and Military families. “This is a celebration that serves as a call to action for every American to lift up their community in big and small ways, inspired by the values our military has upheld for 250 years.”
As Vermont and the nation mark this historic military milestone, We the Veterans and Military Families encourages local communities to engage in the campaign’s mission to honor 250 veteran and military family organizations, recognize 250 leaders who continue to serve, and campaign for 250 acts of meaningful service nationwide.
With national unity and civic responsibility more important than ever, the Military 250 campaign aims to cultivate a renewed spirit of service rooted in honor, sacrifice, and shared purpose that Vermont’s military and veteran communities proudly represent every day.
We the Veterans and Military Families empowers the military-connected community to strengthen America through patriotic participation. Led by veterans and military family members, the organization works to promote patriotic engagement and uphold the values that unite our nation.
