2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Vermont kicks off June 3

Vermont Business Magazine The 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics Vermont will take place June 3–6, bringing together members of the law enforcement and first responder communities from across the state to raise awareness and support for Special Olympics Vermont athletes. Officers and supporters will carry the Flame of Hope through towns and communities as it makes its way to Opening Ceremonies at Saint Michael’s College, where they will light the cauldron and mark the beginning of our 2025 Special Olympics Vermont Summer Games! 

Tuesday, June 3 – Friday, June 6, 2025

Final Leg Information:
Friday, June 6th - Run departs at 3:45pm
Distance: 0.7 miles
Start Point: Dunkin’ (807 College Parkway, Colchester)

Destination: 2025 Summer Games Opening Ceremonies at 4:00pm, Durick Library Lawn, Saint Michael’s College

This 0.7-mile stretch will lead the Flame of Hope from Dunkin’ to Saint Michael’s College.

Why:
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a grassroots fundraiser and public awareness campaign for Special Olympics, empowering athletes as well as members of local law enforcement. Proceeds support year-round sports training and competitions for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Vermont.
