Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) Child Nutrition Programs is seeking sponsors for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This program, also known as Summer Meals, is federally funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by AOE Child Nutrition Programs. Funds are available and sponsors are needed to provide meals to children at summer food program sites. Sponsors can be supervisory unions, school districts, private non-profits, government entities, and non-profit residential camps. The After School and Summer Meals Eligibility Mapper helps identify potential meal site locations.
Many additional parts of the state are newly eligible to offer free meals to all children this summer. The state is especially seeking sponsors in rural areas, which have historically been underserved by the program. Additional information for interested sponsors is available on the Agency’s website. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
