Vermont Business Magazine The magic of the holiday season is ready to shine brighter than ever as the 15th Annual Manchester Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade rolls into town on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 5:30 PM. Organized by the Manchester Business Association, Dead River Company and the Town of Manchester, this beloved community tradition is gearing up for its biggest and brightest year yet.
This year's parade is expected to be record-breaking, with more than 40 dazzling tractors and floats lighting up the night. Adding to the excitement, the event will debut a new parade route, offering more viewing spots and a fresh experience for spectators. The parade will enter Main Street from Memorial Avenue, continue down Center Hill Road, turn right onto Depot Street, turn right into the large rotary, and then head north on Main Street back to Memorial Avenue.
“This is shaping up to be our most spectacular parade yet,” said John Burnham, Executive Director of the Manchester Business Association. “The growing enthusiasm from participants and spectators shows just how special this event has become for the Manchester area. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for a magical evening.”
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure their favorite viewing locations. Along the new route, parade-goers can warm up and enjoy complimentary hot apple cider, hot cocoa, and other seasonal treats, generously provided by local businesses including Union Underground, Berkshire Bank, and Heritage Family Credit Union.
As always, Santa will make a joyful appearance, bringing even more holiday cheer to families and children.
Dead River Company will again award three $300 cash prizes for the Best Use of Lights, Best Float, and Best Nonprofit Entry.
This year’s event also includes a very special moment of recognition. Mike Baker, who retired from Dead River Company earlier this year, will return as a guest judge—a role that celebrates not only his experience, but his unwavering enthusiasm and support for the parade over the past 15 years. Mike was instrumental in keeping this beloved tradition alive after the departure of Donny Door from the company and the closing of the former Manchester and the Mountains Chamber in 2016. His dedication, leadership, and genuine love for this community helped ensure the parade’s future during a pivotal time.
“Although Mike won’t have to work quite as hard this year, he’ll always be part of this parade,” added Burnham. “We’re incredibly grateful for everything Mike has given to this event. We’re proud to carry forward the torch he lit, and we hope to make him proud as the parade continues to grow and bring joy to our community.”
