Vermont AOT announces $5.7 million+ in municipal awards through federally funded programs

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) has announced the recipients of more than $5.7 million in federal funds for municipal grant projects through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Municipal Highways and Stormwater Mitigation Program (MHSMP). AOT received applications for projects that totaled more than $11 million in requests.

“These projects are essential for Vermont’s transportation infrastructure,” said Transportation Secretary Joe Flynn. “Improvements to sidewalks, bike paths, and shared-use paths provide Vermonters more transportation options and improve their quality of life.”
