Saint Michael’s College Amid a fanfare of cowbells, kazoos, and cheering, the Class of 2028 officially arrived on Saint Michael’s College campus on Aug. 22.
Orientation Leaders – the sophomores, juniors, and seniors responsible for this enthusiastic display, otherwise known as O-Leaders – held signs with messages such as “You Belong Here” and “Welcome Home” as they waved the incoming cars onto campus.
Cy Sloane Exhibition in McCarthy
A new art exhibit at Saint Michael’s College’s McCarthy Art Gallery will honor the work of the first art professor on campus, Cyril “Cy” Sloane.
Sloane came to Saint Michael’s in the 1950s, and he served as a professor until 1978.
New Division and
Vice President of Edmundite Mission
A new division established at Saint Michael’s College will serve to uphold the legacy of the College’s founders, the Society of Saint Edmund, and ensure their mission and heritage remain central and relevant to the future of the College.
ST. MIKE’S PROFESSOR SPREADS FUSION PLASMA PHYSICS KNOWLEDGE THROUGH INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
Saint Michael’s Physics Professor and Chair Alain Brizard – one of the world’s foremost experts on fusion plasma physics – spent a month in Japan as a visiting professor at the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki, Gifu Prefecture. READ MORE

THIS YEAR'S COMMON TEXT
All first-year students are asked to read the book over the summer prior to arriving on campus. A panel discussion of the book is held during Orientation in late August, and each First-Year Seminar discusses the book at the start of the fall and spring semesters.

ON-CAMPUS RESEARCH PROJECTS FOR SUMMER 2024
On Tuesday, June 4, students and professors gathered in the Roy Room to offer some insight into their summer research projects. From student-athlete mental health and historical beliefs about crime to immunoprecipitation and environmental paleolimnology, students are performing important research on a variety of topics and questions facing the world today.
