Lake Champlain Chamber opens nominations for 2025 annual business awards

Vermont Business Magazine The Lake Champlain Chamber (LCC) will gather the region’s business community in celebration at their 114th Annual Gala on Thursday, April 10 at Hula. Four awards will be presented to businesses, non-profits, and their leaders in recognition of their accomplishments and contributions to the community. Nominations are now open and will be accepted until February 21, 2025. 

Awards 

Business of the Year

The LCC Business of the Year Award honors a business that has demonstrated growth in its employment, production, and operations and has a substantial history of success. It has a positive social and economic impact on the Lake Champlain region. The recipient must have shown outstanding growth, significant achievements in innovation, and superior community involvement through the commitment of time and resources.  

Non-Profit of the Year

The LCC Non-Profit of the Year Award is presented to a non-profit organization that has contributed time, skills, and resources to enhance the quality of life of the Lake Champlain region. 

New Business of the Year

The New Business of the Year Award honors a new business that opened its doors within the last three years that demonstrates growth, job creation, and ingenuity. Preference is given to businesses that have been accelerated by LaunchVT. 

Emerging Leader

The Emerging Leader Award recognizes individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, demonstrate a strong commitment to our community, and serve as role models for others in the business community. They must live and/or work in the Lake Champlain region. Preference is given to graduates of Leadership Champlain. 

All current members of the Lake Champlain Chamber are eligible for the awards and businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals are encouraged to self-nominate. Each business or organization that receives a nomination will be promoted in the Chamber’s newsletter and on social media. 

“It’s important to celebrate our achievements. The Gala brings us together to recognize the vibrancy businesses add to our region and these awards are an opportunity to highlight leaders in our community,” says Lake Champlain Chamber President and CEO, Cathy Davis.
