Meanwhile, the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles this week sent out a letter to EV and hybrid vehicle owners that their cost of registering their vehicle will essentially double starting in 2025. The DMV said this is to make up for the loss of gasoline tax revenue, which goes to support road and bridge repair.
