SAVE THE DATE - NERDIC Ecosystem Meeting

Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center

Friday, September 13

Hula, Burlington

In-person quarterly meetings are taking place over an 18-month period across the six states NERDIC serves and represents. These meetings intend to bring the NERDIC Ecosystem members together to network, celebrate successes, share ideas, and discuss the future of NERDIC – bolstering the regional defense Industrial base, and the defense industry at large. This September, Vermont will play host to these important and informative meetings.

NERDIC is a unique entity which coordinates the growth of defense-related businesses across the six states within the New England region. NERDIC focuses on an approach built around collaboration and multidisciplinary solutions to address the challenges identified by the New England defense manufacturing sector.

Have you registered your MFG Day 2024 event yet?

Registering your event contributes to the larger MFG Day phenomenon in a major way. The more events we know about, the more people we can say we’ve affected — which inspires more interest in manufacturing.

MFG Day makes a big impact in shifting the misconception of modern manufacturing. Tell your story by opening your doors – physically or virtually – and hosting an event with students, parents, educators, media, community leaders and elected officials. Registered events are reviewed for completeness and are generally made public within 24 hours after registrations are submitted.

VMEC can help you market your event, but you need to register it on the MFG Day - Register An Event page in order for us to help you get the word out. It's easy, takes just minutes and is FREE! Please contact VMEC Marketing and Training Manager Robynn Albert for planning assistance today.

Industry 4.0 and cybersecurity – How to protect your investment

Like any new technology, Industry 4.0 introduces new vulnerabilities. Connectivity is great, but the cost of protecting critical systems and data cannot be an afterthought. Cybersecurity should be one of the first things to consider with any technology investment.

Cybersecurity has to be top of mind any time a manufacturer makes an investment in technology. Manufacturing is the most targeted industry for cybersecurity attacks; read the complete blog post and contact us so we may help you with your cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 needs.
