Vermont State University Leadership training is critical for organizational success. Individual contributors need help stepping into supervisory roles and learning how to motivate other adults. Our leadership training experiences provide the right setting for participants to learn more about themselves as they improve their leadership capabilities and skillset. This is the new world of work - and this is the time to empower new, emerging, and experienced leaders to learn to lead and motivate in different ways.
The Hard Soft Skills
Starts March 7th
This training program emphasizes positive interpersonal growth and social skills development because leaders have to motivate and build trust with other adults. Hard to do! Working with our expert instructor, you'll identify and increase practical communication skills. You'll have time to identify the various conflict styles as you consider your habits and preferences. This leadership training will prepare you to positively coach and motivate employees while helping you learn how to give positive and developmental feedback. This online, four-session series includes individual assessments, professional reading, and classroom instruction. Our engaging instructor will help you organize all learning materials to be easily used within your future leadership experiences. Proficiency-Based Leadership Series
What is this training and is it what I need? Our customized leadership series is designed for colleagues working in the same organization as leads, supervisors and managers. Though working with different teams within the organization, this series supports participant leaders as they move through a comprehensive methodology that expands communication, conflict, feedback, coaching, teams, and change management skills to strengthen individuals, teams and organizations. The Proficiency-Based Leadership Series meets on a rotational basis, creating a learning experience where participants have time to reflect and grow concrete leadership skills. This experience includes an independent leadership audit that confirms leadership strengths.
