Donations total $309,000 for organizations across the state

Vermont Business Magazine KeyBank announces the list of charitable sponsorships and KeyBank Foundation grants made in 2024 to numerous nonprofit organizations in Vermont.  The gifts and grants focus support to address homelessness, food insecurity, financial literacy, preventative healthcare and more. KeyBank Foundation grants total $275,000 in commitments and are part of the bank’s philanthropic and strategic investments targeted toward education, workforce development, and safe, vital neighborhoods. An additional $34,000 in charitable donations were made to local nonprofit partners in alignment with the bank’s community support efforts.

“KeyBank is deeply committed to helping our communities thrive, and we are proud to support organizations in Vermont that work tirelessly to create positive, lasting change,” said KeyBank Vermont Market President Tony DiSotto. “these grants and donations represent our dedication to addressing critical needs, enhancing economic stability, and fostering equitable growth across the state.”

KeyBank Foundation Grants

  • Boys and Girls Club of Burlington for their Early Promise program, which is rooted in the belief that education after high school – whether college, a technical school, or a training program – is the single most powerful opportunity to building a path to a better future.
  • World Learning New Vermonter Education Program, which focuses on critical language and cultural education for incoming refugees.
  • Association of Africans Living in Vermont, through its Climate Resilient Farming for Refugee Farmers fund, helping to make farming more resilient to the effects of climate change, specifically extreme weather events for more than 100 VT households.

KeyBank also announced earlier this year a three-year, $225,000 Community Impact grant from KeyBank Foundation to Spectrum Family Services of Burlington, enabling them to expand its seasonal warming shelter a year-round resource for homeless youth.
