SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On August 22nd, 2024, at approximately 2106 hours, Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were dispatched to a reported single vehicle crash in the area of 370 Huntville Road in the town of Fairfax. Troopers responded to the scene and located a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle which sustained damage from the roadway.

Preliminary investigation determined that the operator was Randy Paquette, age 59, of Fletcher. Paquette succumbed to the injuries sustained from the crash. 

At the time of the crash, Paquette was traveling South on Huntville Road. Less than a mile from Tabor Rd, Paquette failed to negotiate a curve. The failure to negotiate the curve resulted in Paquette being ejected from the vehicle causing fatal injuries.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Fairfax EMS, and Fairfax Fire Department.
