Vermont Business Magazine Magic Mann Premium Cannabis is proud has announced that it has received final approval from Vermont’s Cannabis Control Board to move forward with the cultivation and manufacturing of cannabis and cannabis products for the adult recreational market. Both cultivation and manufacturing will take place in a new 4,000 square-foot facility adjacent to Magic Mann’s dispensary location at The Essex Experience.
“While it has been a joy finding and selling great cannabis products at Magic Mann, it has always been our dream to have complete control from seed to sale,” said CEO Meredith Mann. “We are thrilled with this approval and are ready to jump right into cultivation of cannabis and the manufacturing of cannabis-related products knowing that we can personally maintain the safety and quality of our core ingredients, the professional state of our facilities, and the taste, strength and condition of our manufactured products.”
Mann, a long-time medicinal cannabis patient, entered the industry in 2019 with BTVLocal420 in South Burlington. In 2020, she opened Magic Mann at The Essex Experience in Essex as a CBD café and storefront. Then, in 2023, Magic Mann received Vermont’s 13th license to legally retail THC products for recreational use.
Today, Magic Mann is a woman-owned, family run, Vermont-based cannabis business developed to create and sell high quality products while fostering a positive and respectful environment for clients, community and staff. With the Vermont Cannabis Control Board approval of cultivation and manufacturing for Magic Mann, the company will have a large portfolio of Magic Mann’s own flower and “seed to sale” cannabis products available in early 2025.
In the meantime, Magic Mann will begin to manufacture a selection of cannabis products with cannabis sourced from local cultivators, in addition to their vast array of other Vermont THC and CBD products. In addition to Meredith Mann, the Magic Mann team consists of Nick Mann, Meredith’s husband and the company’s director of cultivation, who designed the new Tier 2 nursery and will oversee its growth and flowering operations. Austin Sachs takes on the role of director of extraction and manufacturing and brings a background in environmental labs, distilling liquor, and the manufacturing of cannabis concentrates. And, Sarah Lefkowitz, with a Master of Science degree in herbal product design and manufacturing, is the company’s director of compliance.
