Ta-Kum-Ta Softball-a-thon at Centennial Field Sept 23

All day softball fundraiser supports children and families impacted by cancer.

Vermont Business Magazine Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, KOOL 105, and the Vermont Lake Monsters have teamed up to present the second annual Ta-Kum-Ta Softball-a-thon at Centennial Field on September 23rd. This all-day event includes hours of softball, infinite innings, and free family fun, all to support local families impacted by childhood cancer.

“There’s a magic you experience when you witness Camp Ta-Kum-Ta’s programs in person. Through family friendly activities, energetic games, and a whole lot of fun, we’re excited to bring the spirit of Camp to the greater community through this Softball-a-thon. Come join us for a great time and to fundraise for this incredible organization!” - Meaghan Bombardier, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta Board Member & Event Co-Chair

This is not your average softball tournament. Participants sign up to play for as many of the endless potential innings as they would like. All skill levels are welcome. Players can sign up as individuals or as a team and get to take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at the Lake Monsters’ Centennial Field while supporting a great cause.

“The Vermont Lake Monsters are excited to step up to the plate and help hit a home run for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.  It will be an amazing event for all to enjoy, while raising much needed funds.  The Monsters love being a part of the Camp Ta-Kum-Ta team.” C.J. Knudsen, Vermont Lake Monsters Senior Vice President.

Community members are encouraged to bring their friends and family to enjoy exciting free activities at the ballpark. Participants can look forward to inflatables, Touch-a-Truck vehicles, lawn games, food trucks, face painting, and more. This community event is sure to hit a home run for local families impacted by childhood cancer. Learn more and sign up to play at Takumta.org/softball.

Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides year-round programs for children who have or have had cancer, and their families. They are entirely supported through donations from the community, and there is never a charge to the camper or their family.
