Primmer lawyers named ‘Best’ in America 40 consecutive years

Vermont Business Magazine Since 1983, Primmer attorneys have been recognized as the Best Lawyers in America. For the past 40 years, the law firm of Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer has had attorneys named on the Best Lawyers in America list. This year, the firm had 21 attorneys recognized by the 2024 edition of the publication. Primmer also had three attorneys named as the prestigious “Lawyer of the Year”, an award that only is awarded to one attorney for that specific practice area in a specific business community.

Primmer attorneys Jon R. Eggleston and L. Jonathan Ross have each been named to the list for the past 40 years. Eggleston made the list this year for his work in Corporate Law, Tax Law and Trusts and Estates, while Ross earned his 40th year for his work in Family Law.

Of the awards, Managing Director Gary Franklin said, “Congratulations to each of our 21 attorneys recognized in Best Lawyers for excellence in their fields. I am proud to be part of such a successful team of accomplished attorneys.  Primmer has long had an outstanding reputation in our community and these 21 awards help to confirm that.”

Best Lawyers in America bestows annual awards to the legal community based on compiling exhaustive peer-review surveys on each candidate. Best Lawyers operates in 76 countries around the world, and has served as a resource for identifying top legal talent for the past four decades.
