Vermont AFL-CIO Convention 2023: ‘Uniting Workers for a Stronger Vermont’

The Vermont AFL-CIO is thrilled to announce its annual State Labor Council Convention, set to take place on September 9th and 10th, 2023, at Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont. This convention promises to be the largest Labor Council Convention yet, bringing together union members, labor leaders, and worker advocates from across the state to address vital labor issues and strengthen the bonds of solidarity.

1. When and Where: The convention will be held on Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at Jay Peak Resort, 830 Jay Peak Rd, Jay, VT 05859.

2. Engaging Agenda: Attendees can look forward to a packed agenda featuring committee meetings, workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions covering crucial topics such as healthcare, veterans' rights, labor organizing, and the VT PRO Act (S.102).

3. Special Guests: Distinguished speakers and notable guests, including Anya Briy from the Emergency Committee for Rojava, Will Lambek from Migrant Justice, Brandon Mancilla, UAWD Region 9A Director, and Mark Dimondstein, President of APWU, will share their insights and experiences.

4. Eugene V. Debs Award: The convention will also feature the prestigious Eugene V. Debs Award ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions to Vermont's labor movement.
