Vermont Business Magazine Snowmaking has officially begun at Killington Resort, as of this morning. The snowmaking team got to work last night, producing snow in the north ridge area.

Consistently one of the first ski resorts in New England to open their trails every year (historical open/close dates here), Killington credits their ability to open early to their amazing snowmaking system.
The early snowmaking also sets the stage for the highly anticipated 2023 Stifel Killington Cup, which is taking place at Killington November 24-26. The Audi FIS Ski World Cup will once again bring women’s giant slalom and slalom races back to the diehard ski fans in Vermont.
The event features a number of Stifel U.S. Ski Team superstars, including five-time Stifel Killington Cup slalom victor and winningest alpine skier in history Mikaela Shiffrin, and former University of Vermont skier and 2023 world champion Paula Moltzan.
