VFCU announced as the presenting sponsor of UVM women’s basketball & She Roars

Vermont Business Magazine The University of Vermont Athletic Department is proud to announce that newly signed partner Vermont Federal Credit Union will serve as the presenting sponsor for the Women's Basketball program as well as the UVM She Roars Program for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. Vermont Federal Credit Union will also sponsor the Vermont Night games across all winter sports.

To support women in Catamount Country and beyond, the partnership will incorporate a season long, in-arena promotion, titled "When Women Win." Vermont Federal Credit Union has pledged to donate $25 to Vermont Works for Women every time a UVM women's athletic team wins at home.

"We are thrilled to join forces with UVM Athletics and She Roars to support the exceptional student-athletes who exemplify determination, resilience, and teamwork." said Jean Giard, President and CEO at Vermont Federal Credit Union.

The relationship between UVM Athletics and Vermont Federal Credit Union is managed by athletic multimedia rights holder Vermont Sports Properties, the locally based team of LEARFIELD – the media and technology powering college athletics.

"We appreciate Vermont Federal Credit Union's dedication to UVM athletics, particularly these initiatives that support our female student-athletes and women's sports teams," said University of Vermont's Athletic Director Jeff Schulman. "We look forward to continued collaboration with their team across our various sports and at Vermont Night games this winter."

She Roars is an initiative to foster gender equity in the world of sports. The program aims to raise awareness about the stories, accomplishments, and power of female athletes as well as the long-term inequities facing women in sport.

The UVM women's basketball team, led by Mayer Head Coach Alisa Kresge, enters the 2023-2024 season coming off a conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance last season. The Catamounts tip-off regular season play with a home game versus Miami (OH) on Monday, November 6 at 5 p.m. The action from Patrick Gym will air live on ESPN+
