Governor Scott signs Alburgh charter change, DOC notaries and alcohol liabilities bills

Vermont Business Magazine Governor Phil Scott announced action on the following bills, passed by the General Assembly. This includes a charter of the Village of Alburgh, already approved by voters, to make the town clerk and treasurer appointed positions; allowing DOC personnel to be notaries public; and updating the liability for those selling alcoholic beverages.

On May 15, Governor Scott signed bills of the following titles:

  • H.150, An act relating to approval of an amendment to the charter of the Village of Alburgh
  • H.178, An act relating to commissioning Department of Corrections personnel as notaries public
  • H.288, An act relating to liability for the sale of alcoholic beverages
