Condos and Kuzia to lead Burlington Businesses Association

Vermont Business Magazine The Burlington Businesses Association (BBA) is pleased to announce two new changes in leadership positions of its Board of Directors. Chelsea Condos is the BBA’s new Chair of the Board and Christian Kuzia is the board’s new Vice-Chair.

Chelsea Condos, is a senior tax manager at Gallagher and Flynn. She first joined the BBA board in 2017, is a South Burlington native, and is a seasoned tax accountant who returned to Vermont recently after spending 13 years working for KPMG in Atlanta and Boston. Condos has broad experience working with companies in the real estate industry including inbound international real estate investment funds, multinational construction companies, and real estate developers. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration/accounting with a specialty in tax accounting. In addition to her role on the Board of the BBA she is a member of the AICPA and the Vermont Society of CPAs. She lives in the Mayfair neighborhood of South Burlington with her husband and two children.

Christian Kuzia, incoming Vice-Chair of the Board, works for Westport Hospitality, and is the general manager of the Courtyard Burlington Harbor Hotel. He joined BBA’s Board in 2021. Born and raised in Vermont, Kuzia has held multiple hospitality and restaurant industry positions over the past 20 years. He is a graduate of the food and beverage management program from the New England Culinary Institute and began his career with Westport overseeing the food and beverage operation at the Courtyard Burlington Harbor. He has also managed Westport’s extended stay property, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott, in Williston. Kuzia has previously served on the board of directors for the Vermont Convention Bureau, The Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce, and is currently a chair of the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont. He resides in Colchester with his wife Jodi and their two sons, Caleb and Camden.

The BBA also extends its gratitude to Shireen Hart, BBA’s outgoing Chair of the Board. Shireen first joined the board in 2015 and will stay on as Secretary through 2025.
