WHAT: Oversized Transport
Vermont Agency of Transportation Motorists are advised beginning at 11PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, an oversized transport convoy will leave Milton via US-2 east and proceed south on I-89 beginning at Exit 17 to Exit 6. This oversized transport will proceed at an average speed of 10 to 15 MPH and will be accompanied by police and civilian escorts during transit. This transport will occupy both lanes at times on I-89 south, vehicles will be unable to pass during these times.
On Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 6AM, a rolling roadblock will begin at Exit 4 in Randolph proceeding north to Exit 6 in Berlin. The purpose of the rolling roadblock is to facilitate the movement of the oversized transport vehicle across the median and northbound lanes of I-89 and using the Exit 6 northbound on-ramp.
Delays are not expected to exceed 30 minutes. On-ramp closures at Exit 5 and Exit 6 will be expected.
Minor delays are expected on VT-63 in Berlin and Barre as well as VT-14 in South Barre Sunday, June 25 after 6AM.
