Vermont Business Magazine Former Governor Madeleine Kunin has endorsed Charity Clark for Attorney General. Clark, who announced her candidacy for Attorney General last week, is running as a Democrat.
“I am pleased to give my endorsement to Charity Clark to be the next Attorney General of Vermont,” Kunin said. “She has earned the credentials to qualify for the position. She has the experience and enthusiasm to do an excellent job. Vermont will be well served by her service as Attorney General.”
Clark has spent most of her career serving Vermonters, having worked in the Governor’s Office under Governor Howard Dean and the Attorney General’s Office under Attorney General Bill Sorrell and Attorney General TJ Donovan. If elected, she would be Vermont’s first woman Attorney General.
“To have Governor Kunin’s support in this historic campaign is very meaningful to me,” Clark said. “Governor Kunin was one of my childhood heroes. As Vermont’s first woman Governor, she inspired me in so many ways. It is her shoulders that I – and many others – are standing on.”
