Built on trust, integrity, and pride in craftsmanship, Engelberth has been delivering clients' visions since 1972

Vermont Business Magazine Engelberth Construction, Inc (ECI), a leading Construction Manager/General Contractor, is celebrating its 50 years in business milestone.

In 1972 Engelberth Construction was established in the basement of Otto Engelberth’s home in Colchester, Vermont and grew steadily on the cornerstones of hard work, trust, integrity, and pride in craftsmanship. Over the past 50 years, Engelberth has become a leader providing preconstruction and construction services in the academic, healthcare, assisted living, manufacturing, resort, multi-unit housing and historic preservation markets.

While new services, techniques and technology helped fuel our growth, it has been our core values and our employees that have built and sustained our client relationships and solidified our position as one of the largest and most highly recognized and respected construction firms in northern New England.

Engelberth employs 140 full time employees, many of which have been with the company for over 20 years, and operates full-service offices in Colchester, VT and Concord, NH servicing clients in Vermont, New Hampshire, and northern Massachusetts.

In 1997, Otto appointed Pierre LeBlanc as President and Tom Clavelle as Executive Vice President.  Pierre, now President and Chief Executive Officer, and Tom (retired December 2020) led the company seamlessly the last 25 years.  Moving forward, Pierre is looking to the next generation of leaders within the company to continue its success.  Brad Walker, VP Project Management, Tim Engelberth, Senior Project Manager, Frank Clark, Chief Financial Officer, Brendan Jones, Senior Project Manager, Brock Rouse, Director of Industrial and Facility Services, and Chris Yandow, Director of Preconstruction Services are current stakeholders in the company.

Pierre LeBlanc, President and CEO, said: "Over the past 50 years, we have been surrounded by the absolute best people in the business; our clients, employees and subcontractors have turned vision into reality, in more ways than we could have imagined. We are grateful to everyone who has joined us along our journey and look forward to where it takes us next."

Engelberth would like to thank all its Owners, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Architects, Engineers, Consultants, Employees, and all their families for the successes we have shared through the years.
