Vermont Business Magazine Norwich University’s School of Business will hold the inaugural Amazon Web Services Business Challenge for teams of Norwich students, who will compete and present their work to a panel of judges featuring representatives from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Volkswagen (VW) on March 31.
A Business Challenge awards ceremony will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening in Milano Ballroom, featuring a keynote presentation by Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development Secretary Lindsay Kurrle.
Up to 20 interdisciplinary teams of four students each will receive a business case study challenge in advance of competition day. On March 31, the teams will present their solution to the challenge to a panel of business and industry professionals, including members of the university’s School of Business’ Board of Fellows, who will judge the presentations.
Teams include students from programs including: business management, engineering, computer security and information assurance, psychology, history and studies in war and peace, among others.
“We are excited to host the inaugural Amazon Web Services Business Challenge and to collaborate with AWS, Volkswagen and our Board of Fellows,” School of Business Director David Blythe said. “This competition will draw students from a wide variety of academic programs, and we believe that the multidisciplinary nature of the program will be both challenging and rewarding for everyone who takes part. And it should be fun!”
