Vermont Business Magazine Starting TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 15, at 6:30 a.m., Locust Street will be closed to through traffic between Caroline and Shelburne Streets in Burlington. Shelburne Street will be reduced to one lane with alternating one-way traffic at the intersection with Locust Street to facilitate waterline work beginning at 9 am.
Shelburne Street will be reduced to one lane in the vicinity of its intersection with Locust Street through Wednesday, March 16 during the daytime hours. Shelburne Street will reopen to two lanes overnight. One-way alternating traffic will be maintained along Shelburne Street during the lane reduction. Flaggers will be present during the daytime to assist motorists through the work zone.

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and the Burlington Department of Public Works (Burlington DPW), as part of the Shelburne Street Roundabout Project, are improving roadway intersection conditions for all users at US Route 7 (South Willard Street), US ALT Route 7 (Shelburne Street), Ledge Road and Locust Street by constructing a single-lane roundabout. Furthermore, the project will improve signage, street lighting, drainage, stormwater runoff treatment, and relocate and consolidate utility transmissions underground.
