Rosebrook Lodge Recognized for Best Event Space Category
Vermont Business Magazine TruexCullins won the 2022 HD Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design, Best Event Space, for the Rosebrook Lodge at Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire.
The HD Award, presented by Hospitality Design Magazine, celebrates the best of the best in the hospitality industry’s most influential and innovative design work. TruexCullins was one of three finalists in the Best Event Spaces category, competing against more than 1,100 product and project submissions from U.S. and international design teams.
On Thursday evening June 7, TruexCullins Associate Principals Marc DeSmet and Matt Bushey accepted the award at the HD Awards Gala in New York City, hosted by Hospitality Design Magazine in conjunction with Emerald Expositions. Also in attendance were Principal John Ashworth and Associate Principal George Janson of Bull Stockwell Allen.
Rosebrook Lodge is a four-season facility located on the mountain at Omni Bretton Woods ski area. TruexCullins designed the interior of the two-story lodge, working in collaboration with architects Bull Stockwell Allen of San Francisco, CA. The project opened in the fall of 2020.
The Lodge is accessed from the top of the newly opened Skyway Gondola. The site offers panoramic views of Mt. Washington and the entire Presidential Range. Guests enter into a two-story atrium, illuminated by a sculptural steel-and-wood pendant installation. From the outside, the atrium acts as a lantern, a beacon visible from as far away as the Mt. Washington Resort below.
The building houses a variety of dine-in and grab-and-go food options, including Switchback Grille, a restaurant with European-inspired appetizers and entrees; Peaks Café, serving beverages and bakery items; and Crystal Hills, a food outlet catering to skiers and riders. The upper level also serves as an events hall available for weddings and other private events.
The Rosebrook Lodge is owned and operated by Omni Hotels & Resorts of Dallas, Texas.
