Vermont Business Magazine Inc. magazine has ranked Select Dental Management, a Dental Partnership Organization boasting 37 practices across the Northeast US, No. 185 on its annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. That ranking also places the Florham Park, NJ-based company at No. 4 in New Jersey, No. 13 in Health Services and No. 18 in the New York Region. Select currently has practices in Castleton, Manchester, Richmond and Rutland.
The ranking is based off Select’s impressive 2,800% revenue growth, with 2021 revenues of over $55 million.
Select was founded in 2018 by two life-long best friends: Elliot Zibel, Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Jonathon E. Mason, DMD., Chief Clinical Officer. Mason, who resides in Peru, Vermont, also still treats patients at his eponymous practice, Mason Dental, in Manchester.
“I was really impressed with the type of growth he had driven and how he had done it,” Zibel noted. “I really felt like a lot of these processes would be replicable for many dental practices.” In 2018, Select Dental Management was formed and partnered with four practices their first year.

“I enjoy doing specialty work, like implants, extractions and sedation dentistry, and since I practice in a more rural area where specialists are further away, it allows us to continue growing professionally with continuing education and provide more services to patients to make it more convenient for them.”
Select Dental Management plans to continue with acquisitions through 2022 and 2023 with goals of beginning 2024 with over 60 practices, including several additional practices in Vermont.
