Howard Center to host Job Fair on April 27 in Burlington

Vermont Business Magazine Howard Center will host a job fair on Wednesday, April 27 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the McClure Gymnasium located at 1138 Pine St. in Burlington. We have a variety of positions available in several departments including facilities, school programs, residential, long-term supports and services, information management, crisis, and more. Visitors who attend the job fair will have the opportunity to talk with Howard Center’s experienced staff, learn first-hand about our organization’s unique and rewarding career opportunities, and win raffle prizes for stopping by the event.

Ayman Hunter, Howard Center’s Talent Acquisition Manager says, “We recognize that our staff are one of our most valuable resources. We support our employees in a number of ways and offer a great benefits program, training, health and dental insurance, paid time off, including 36 days in the first year, and much more. We’ve had three successful job fairs so far, and we are looking forward to meeting people on April 27 who want to help make a difference in the lives of others and our community.”

Howard Center program staff and talent consultants will be on-hand to provide information about our current openings, flexible work schedules, recently enhanced competitive compensation, and our excellent benefits package. We encourage job fair visitors to bring a copy of their resume, curriculum vitae, or work experience summary, and kiosks will be provided for on-site applications. For some positions, we will offer interviews and make job offers at the fair. Free on-site parking is available, and refreshments will be provided.

Information will also be available about becoming a Shared Living Provider. Shared Living Providers are contracted through Howard Center to provide housing and valuable support to adults with developmental disabilities served by the agency. While they are not Howard Center employees, we can help interested individuals and families participate in this wonderful opportunity to connect with an individual client.

Howard Center’s mission is to help people and communities thrive by providing supports and services to address mental health, substance use, and developmental needs. With a staff of 1,600 at more than 60 locations, Howard Center is the state’s designated agency for Chittenden County and the largest community-based service agency in the state.
