Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Lieutenant Governor Molly Gray announces the hiring of incoming Chief of Staff, Andrew Gillespie. He takes over from Hazel Brewster.
“I am pleased to welcome Andrew to the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and know his skills and background will serve Vermont well. I also want to thank Hazel Brewster for her tireless service to the Office and Vermont during these challenging times. As a next generation leader with a deep commitment to Vermont, I know her future is bright and Vermonters will continue to be well served by her incredible work ethic, compassion and vision,” Gray said.
Most recently, Gillespie worked as a legislative and regulatory analyst covering all 50 states and focused on policy issues ranging from cybersecurity to school nutrition. Gillespie is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Political Science. Gillespie currently resides in Burlington and in his free time enjoys riding his bike.
"It's an honor to join the Lieutenant Governor's Office,” Gillespie said “Molly Gray is committed to working hard on behalf of all Vermonters as the state strives to recover stronger from the pandemic, and I share her commitment to serving Vermonters and working to amplify their diverse experiences in Montpelier."
Andrew will begin serving as Chief of Staff on October 6, 2021.
