Working Lands Enterprise Board Service Provider Awardees

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced an investment of $20.2 million in the Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiatives, with $6.1 million awarded to the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC) hosted by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets.

NE-DBIC is taking a targeted and intentional approach to supporting community and climate forward dairy production across the ten-state region served by this center. Farmers and processors will continue to directly benefit from opportunities through a combination of direct technical and business assistance, education, access to resources, and grants.

Does your business have experience with agritourism you would like to share at the 2022 International Workshop on Agritourism? Researchers, educators, agricultural service providers, tourism professionals and others involved in agritourism are invited to submit a proposal for presentations.

This year's conference will provide a forum for participants from around the world to share current developments in agritourism research, outreach, and best practices, as well as showcase agritourism destinations in Vermont and neighboring states and provinces.

The International Workshop on Agritourism presents the webinar Agritourism As a Tool for Rural Development and Women's Empowerment.

Agritourism has the potential to empower women around the world, especially in rural communities. Join community leaders who are initiating this work in Uganda, North Macedonia, Peru and the United States. During the webinar, you will also hear from researchers who are studying the role of gender in agritourism around the globe.

The State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is seeking applicants for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions from diesel powered engines, vehicles, and equipment currently operating in Vermont with the goals of reducing public exposure to emissions from diesel-powered engines and the associated risks to public health and the environment.
