Vermont Business Magazine Thirteen Vermont organizations will receive grants to support the arts, accessibility and innovation from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). In addition, the Vermont Arts Council has been approved for an $807,740 NEA FY2021 partnership agreement to address arts programs, services and activities throughout Vermont.
“As the country and the arts sector begin to work towards a post-pandemic world, the National Endowment for the Arts is proud to fund the work of our partners,” said NEA Acting Chairman Ann Eilers. “These agreements such as the one to the Vermont Arts Council leverage federal funds for regional, state, and local impact, reinforcing the network of support that is vital for a healthy arts ecosystem.“
“Our work would not be possible without the critical public funding the Arts Council receives from the NEA and the state of Vermont,” noted Vermont Arts Council Executive Director Karen Mittelman. “We are grateful to continue our strong partnership with NEA and proud to congratulate the outstanding Vermont arts organizations that have received awards.”

Burlington City Arts, $20,000
Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Burlington, $15,000
Flynn Center for the Performing Arts (on behalf of Burlington Discover Jazz Festival), $40,000
Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Burlington, $15,000
Dorset Theatre Festival, $15,000
VSA Vermont (Inclusive Arts Vermont), Essex Junction, $20,000
New Music On The Point, Leicester, $10,000
Community Engagement Lab, Montpelier, $60,000
Helen Day Art Center (new name: The Current), Stowe, $20,000
Stowe Story Labs, Stowe, $25,000
Weston Playhouse Theatre, $15,000
Northern Stage Company, White River Junction, $20,000
Governor's Institutes of Vermont (aka Governor's Institute on the Arts), Winooksi, $20,000
