Vermont Business Magazine As Vermont looks ahead to a post-pandemic future, strong and visionary leadership will be vital to successfully navigating the challenges and opportunities ahead. Only with leaders who are ready for action and skilled in tackling the unexpected will Vermont emerge from this crisis stronger than before. Innovation is critical for envisioning the post-COVID future, and now is the time to act.

As an intensive civic leadership development program, the Vermont Leadership Institute (VLI) has been developing and supporting leaders across the state since 1995. VLI provides participants from Vermont’s most active private, public and non-profit sectors with curricula and faculty that directly addresses the need to adapt to such extraordinary changes.

Session topics include but are not limited to personal leadership adaptation; complex systems thinking and innovation; and leadership paradigms that support diversity, equity, and inclusion for all Vermonters. In addition, participants build meaningful networks and relationships and join a community of more than 600 VLI graduates who have made a profound difference in the quality of life for Vermonters and their communities during this unprecedented time: designing innovative businesses, leading award-winning non-profits, serving in the legislature and state government, and volunteering in their communities.

Applications for the Vermont Leadership Institute Class of 2022 are currently being accepted through May 1, 2021.
